Taba has only been opened for 10 months. But this restaurant has the potential to work its way to Michelin status. The service was excellent. Drinks were unique. Staff were friendly and great to converse with. Our fav was spicy Prawn Roll. Prawn tempura was nice, a little too fried for us. Yakisoba tasted really nice. And the chef and team prepared a surprised dessert for our honeymoon which was really nice of them! Would highly recommend eating here for fine dining.

I first preferred not to try any Japanese food in tropical cities as most of the time it came with disappointment. This time impressed by head chef innovation to give A good balance of local taste with Japanese food. Expecting more fresh herbs from local, to make the taste more unique. Taba Grill is a beautiful spot for a romantic dinner or any kind of celebration. Perched on the rooftop, it offers sweeping sunset views over the ocean, complemented by stylish décor and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are attentive and genuinely go the extra mile to make the evening special. The food was very good—though the eggplant was slightly salty for my taste, everything else was enjoyable and well presented. Tip: Make a reservation around sunset and ask for one of the outer side tables to enjoy both the panoramic views during golden hour and a clear look at the night stars as they come out. Highly recommended for couples and anyone looking for a memorable night in Labuan Bajo.

Please do yourself a favour and book this exquisite place for the food, the service, the ambiance and the sunset. We came around 5pm and got seated right away just looking directly at the horizon where the sun was about the set at around 6. The service from the staff is exceptional where they explained the menu and recommended dishes to try. We ordered the few dishes that were recommended and it was really good. The tuna tostada was outstanding and would highly recommend this among all that they do. The dessert which was the black sesame panna cotta is also a must. What was amazing was the sunset! Eating amazing food while watching the sun set is an experience that everybody should try at least once! Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A perfect spot for a romantic dinner. The fish was fresh, meat tender and delicious. However the yakisoba was too salty bcs of the combination of matcha noodles and soya sauce. The chef came around to ask for our experience and when we expressed our taste particularly for the noodles, he requested we wait for a new dish currently in the making to be on the official menu. He brought out a gochujang-based noodle dish that was delicious. It was refreshing and light - which paired well with the freshness of the sashimi platter and the heavy wagyu meat. Overall, a great experience and I hope they choose to include the dish in the menu for others to try as well!

We had dinner here. The whole restaurant is very stylishly designed. Sitting there you can see the bay, the sunset and the starry sky. The ingredients used for each dish are very particular, fresh and high quality! The waiter always appeared at the right time to introduce each dish and add drinks. This is definitely an extraordinary dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Similar to my review for Umasa, everything is perfect. The exceptionally high quality from food, ambience to service is unexpected of. We didnt try any other restaurant outside of the resort in Labuan Bajo, but would say that such a high quality restaurant hard to find even in Bali!
